How Each Volleyball Bet Type Works
New to betting on volleyball? Here's a clear breakdown of each market type available on Scarabph so you know exactly what you're wagering on.
Match Winner — Straight Pick
You pick which team wins the full match. In volleyball, all sets count — the team that reaches 3 set wins first takes the match. On Scarabph, odds are in decimal format. Bet ₱500 on a team at 1.85 and win ₱925 back (₱425 profit) if they take the match.
This is the cleanest entry point for new bettors. No spread, no conditions beyond "who wins." Just study the teams' recent form, head-to-head records, and any key injuries before committing.
Set Handicap — Levelling the Field
When one team is a heavy favourite, Scarabph applies a set handicap to balance the odds. If Creamline is -1.5 sets against a weaker opponent, they need to win 3–0 (a 3-set margin) for your bet to win. If you take the underdog at +1.5, they can lose 1–3 and your bet still pays out.
Set handicap betting rewards bettors who know whether a favourite is likely to dominate from start to finish or if the underdog has the kind of depth to steal a set along the way.
Total Sets Over / Under
Scarabph sets a total set line — usually 3.5 — for each match. You bet on whether the match goes over that number (meaning it reaches Set 4 or Set 5) or under (a straight 3-set sweep by either team).
Closely contested rivalries and evenly matched teams tend to go over. A dominant team in peak form against a mid-table opponent is more likely to sweep. Check the season's head-to-head results and current form before picking your side.
Correct Score — Exact Set Result
You pick the exact set score of the match: 3–0, 3–1, or 3–2 in favour of either team. Five possible outcomes in total. The odds on each outcome are higher than a standard moneyline because precision is required.
A 3–0 for a heavy favourite might pay around 2.20 while a 3–2 for the underdog could pay 5.50 or more. Correct score bets on Scarabph are settled on the final official set score — including any deciding sets played to 15 points.
Live (In-Play) Betting
Live betting opens as soon as a match starts and runs through every set on Scarabph. Odds adjust point by point — so if a supposedly weaker team jumps to an early 10-4 lead in Set 1, their live odds shift quickly to reflect that momentum.
Live set betting, live match winner, and live set total markets are all available. The best live bettors are those watching the match closely, spotting rotation changes, player fatigue, or a team struggling on serve reception before the oddsmakers fully catch up.
Parlay — Combine Matches for Higher Returns
A parlay lets you combine two or more volleyball bets into a single ticket. All selections must win — but the odds multiply together, so potential returns are significantly higher than betting each match individually.
On Scarabph you can build volleyball-only parlays or mix volleyball with NBA bets on the same card. A 3-match volleyball parlay at combined odds of 6.50 on a ₱500 stake returns ₱3,250. Higher risk, higher ceiling — great for matchdays with multiple confident picks.
